Amy

Hi Friends! My name is Amy and I've been working at Life Long Studios for over eight years. I feel so lucky to have a job that supports my creativity and allows me to connect with so many wonderful couples and families,--all while working shoulder to shoulder with some pretty rad humans, i.e., the Life Long crew!

Like many people I know, I am a Florida transplant. I grew up on a farm in Illinois, and yeah, I totally get nostalgic about cornfields now! Pursuing a career as an artist was always the plan, but I never dreamed it would be photography until I landed a job at a wedding photography studio in Buffalo, NY. A few years later, my husband and I decided to move to Florida and that's where I found Life Long Studios.

Wedding photography is such a rewarding experience for me. I love that I get to use and grow my training as an artist, my passion for details and even my Anthropology degree every day at work! My favorite thing about photography is being able to find the magic in the simple things. It's amazing what a little care and knowledge of lighting and angles can do! I believe everything has a story, and in my life and in my art, I care deeply about those connections. I enjoy making every moment shine. I love getting to know my clients and not only providing them with beautiful images (perfectionist here, I kind of have a problem...), but photos that are uniquely them, and uniquely theirs.

When I'm not wearing my Life Long hat, I love to be home working on my small mountain of creative projects and rejuvenating my secretly introverted heart. By moonlight, I draw and paint in my little spare room studio. I enjoy watching nature programs, (anything narrated by Sir David Attenborough!), listening to lecture style audiobooks, playing old-school nintendo games, embarking on the occasional midnight cooking expedition and spending time with my lovely husband. Every year, we get a little better at cooking delicious food together and traveling to new exciting places. Japan is at the top of my list!
